Window Cleaning in Fountain Hills, AZ

Sometimes people ask us if we offer services for window cleaning in Fountain Hills, AZ. The answer: a resounding “YES!” We enjoy the challenge of the homes in Fountain Hills because they are often architecturally complex, the windows tend to be quite hot from the Arizona sun, and the dry desert climate just begs for the windows to streak… but not when 5 Star is on the job. We use special soaps that are made to combat Fountain Hills’ arid climate and allow us to meticulously clean the windows.

Did you know that we also tint windows in Fountain Hills. Window tinting is a nice alternative to regular glass on the typically large windows in the Fountain Hills area. Without having to worry about sunscreens blowing of in the wind, deteriorating over time, and taking away from the beautiful look of your Fountain Hills home, window film utilizes a technology that keeps the light that you can see inside, but rejects up to 75% of the sun’s energy. Read more here about our Fountain Hills window tinting company.

We also offer our Fountain Hills customers powerwashing! We’d be happy to come out and give you a quote, unless you’d like a much faster quick quote by clicking here!

If you are taking advantage of the sun’s energy with solar panels, check out our Fountain Hills solar panel cleaning service!

One of the things that really sets us apart from other window cleaning companies is the people we have working on our team. Do our team members sometimes have a bad day? I’d guess so, but you wouldn’t really. How do we make such a claim? Incentive. Our window cleaners are taught from the first moment that they are hired that we don’t care if they are good or experienced with cleaning glass. We can teach that. The real questions are as follows:

Can they be taught? By this I mean, can you learn safety techniques and make sure you are always aware of the situation and always follow our safety practices? Can they learn to clean a window the “5 Star” way? Can they follow our procedures to the “T”? If you can’t be taught, we need not go any further in the interview process… ESPECIALLY if you have “already learned” how to do it. I’ve never met a “know-it-all” that will cut the mustard on our team.

What is their customer service background? While it is not essential that their experience is extensive, it is important. We are a customer service company that happens to clean windows. I know my guys get nauseous every time I say it (multiple times per day), but I don’t ever want them to forget that clean windows is only 1/5th of what we do. 2/5ths of what we do (promptness & professionalism) is customer service. I’d even argue that the remaining 2/5ths of what we do is customer service (our credentials & our anti-contract annual savings program).

Do you know what the meaning of going the extra mile is? In the Bible we read about the people being compelled to carry Roman soldiers packs for 1 mile, but Jesus exhorted his followers to do the first mile because of the law and the second for the love of humanity. This is an important lesson no matter your religious persuasion. This love for those you serve changes your perspective on life and allows you to forget your own problems and focus on helping someone else. This is far superior to the alternative selfish, yet never fulfilling life that seems to be the norm in our society.

How would you like to be paid? If you are looking for an hourly wage, we are happy to find a spot for you in our company, but you will not be a leader– and you probably won’t last for a long time. Why would I, as an employer, want to incentivize you to work slow? That’s what an hourly wage does. Would you like to work for commission? We’re getting closer, but there are drawbacks to that too. Why would I want to put my reputation on the line with you working at breakneck speeds trying to bang out as much work as possible, inevitably becoming careless about the customer’s experience or the quality of your work? That can’t work well. So here’s what I propose to all of the Field Managers in our company: “You can have a job and I will share X% of each job with you. If you guys can work at a good consistent pace, you can do the math and figure out how much per hour you could possibly earn. The magic though is what happens after the job. I will email a survey to each customer each day after you complete the work. They will rate your work, their experience, and your professionalism in 5 questions, rating you 1-5 stars. If the survey comes back perfect I will raise your commission considerably. For each point docked in the survey, however, I will remove 5% from your commission until we get to 0%. If this happens for long, I will be forced to let you go for 2 reasons– my customers didn’t like you, and you’re going to starve to death.” This is how we ensure that our employees are not paid based on job completion… they are paid based on customer satisfaction. Feel free to see what this has meant for our company. It is probably our single biggest secret ingredient. Now I have posted it here for the whole world to see. Including my competition.

The world needs more consideration, compassion, and service. We try to do all that and bring a little sparkle while we’re at it. The secret in a nutshell? Hire customer service people who are truly willing to learn and then incentivize them the way an actual owner of the company would be. Then watch them act like owners.

Sunscreens can be a means of creating energy efficiency in the Arizona desert, and many people use them for that purpose. Sometimes called “Solar Screens” their goal is to block the sun’s energy. ”Bug screens” are very different, though. Common for sliding windows, bugscreens block out bugs by covering the half of the window that is exposed when the window is opened while sunscreens cover the entire window with a much heavier fabric whose purpose is to block the sun’s energy.

As you can see in the picture above, sunscreens have a few downsides that come with them. Before deciding to purchase sunscreens, you need to consider the comparison of screens to window film or tint. The following is just one excerpt you can find on our window tinting page.

vs.

Your view will be obscured by the material shading your window, the more light that is blocked (ie. 70%, 80%, 90%), the more distorted your view will be

vs.

Cost to clean a window with sunscreens on it: regular price + $4/ screen (typically $7/pane)

Permanent (can be removed for a cost, though)

vs.

Removable

No drilling into your home, adheres to glass (comes with varying glass warranties)

vs.

Drill into stucco and/ or window frame (typically voids any window warranty)

These items are extremely helpful in making an educated decision as to how you are going to protect your windows energy efficiency.
